GT3 LAVAREDO – UCI Gravel World Series e Randonnée

Art.1 - ORGANISATION

1.1 – Organizing Committee

GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series is organized by A.S.D. Pedali di Marca, in collaboration with Golazo, the Municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters.

1.2 – Applicable Regulations

GT3 LAVAREDO will be held in accordance with these regulations, the official event program, and any decisions made by the Race Jury and the Organizing Committee.

For any matters not covered by these regulations, the rules and general regulations of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) shall apply.

1.3 – Date and Venue

GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with both the start and finish located in Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno, Italy).

1.4 – Start Schedule

08:30 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series (Elite Men/Women + Under 23)

08:35 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series (Amateur Men Categories 19–59)

08:40 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series (Amateur Men Categories 60 and over – Medium Course)

08:45 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series (Amateur Men Categories 60 and over)

08:45 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series (Amateur Women 50+ – Medium Course)

08:50 – GT3 LAVAREDO – Amateur Men Categories 19–59 – Medium Course (non-qualifying for the World Series)

09:00 – Randonnée – GT3 LAVAREDO – a randonnée-style event at a self-paced speed, following a GPX track, to be completed within a maximum of 32 hours.

Art.2 – PARTECIPATION

2.1 – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series

Participation in the GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series is open to adult riders holding a valid UCI/FCI license for the year 2026, as well as members of organizations affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI).

Participation is permitted with Gravel Bikes and Mountain Bikes (MTBs).

Participants will be divided into different age-group categories for both women and men.

The following categories are eligible:

Elite
19–34 years
35–39 years
40–44 years
45–49 years
50–54 years
55–59 years
60–64 years
65–69 years
70–74 years
75–79 years

Access to the starting grids is permitted 20 minutes before the scheduled start time of the respective category (for example: start at 08:30 – grid access from 08:10).

Starting from a grid other than the one assigned, without written authorization from the Organizing Committee, will result in automatic disqualification from the race classification.

GT3 LAVAREDO is a qualifying event that will award a quota of qualification places for the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships. The percentage of qualified riders in each age group will be confirmed prior to the final approval of the 2026 calendar.

Participation in the UCI Gravel World Championships, if qualified, requires the presentation of a valid FCI/UCI license and the use of a gravel bike only.

A minimum of three participants per age group is required. However, riders must finish the race in order to secure qualification for the World Championships.

Five-year age categories are established once at least one rider registers within that respective age group.

Participation in the GT3 LAVAREDO course by non-licensed riders (recreational participants aged 18 or over, of either gender) is permitted only upon obtaining a one-day license and exclusively upon presentation of a valid competitive sports medical certificate.

The one-day license must be requested exclusively through EVODATA via the event registration platform and is subject to an additional fee of €25.00.

2.2 – GT3 LAVAREDO Brevet

Participation in the Randonnée – GT3 LAVAREDO is open to all adults holding a certificate of fitness for non-competitive sports activities, in accordance with Italian Ministerial Decree of 18/02/1982 and/or Ministerial Decree of 24/04/2013.

A brevet is a certificate of completion for a non-competitive cycling excursion (randonnée). This certification confirms that the cyclist has completed a designated route while complying with the distances, time limits, and control points established by the regulations.

The objective is not speed, but rather the successful completion of the route, enjoying the journey and the companionship of fellow riders, unlike in competitive races.

2.3 – Youth Categories

Participation is not permitted for riders belonging to the following youth categories:

Giovanissimi (Young Riders)
Esordienti (Beginners/Cadets)
Allievi (Youth Riders)

Art.3 – REGISTRATION

3.1 – Registration Opening

Registration opens on 10 November 2025 and closes on 16 June 2026, unless all available places are filled earlier.

3.2 – Participant Capacity

The maximum number of registrations accepted is 1,500.

The Organizing Committee (O.C.) reserves the right to increase this number for Open-category athletes and invited wild card participants.

The O.C. may close registrations at any time, even if the maximum limit of 1,500 athletes has not been reached.

3.3 – Entry Fees

The participation fee is determined according to the following schedule:

For the Gravel World Series route, the fee includes all race services (course marking, medical and mechanical assistance, refreshment stations), race pack, race kit, and pasta party.

For the Randonnée route, the fee includes all event services (course and GPX track), race pack, race kit, and pasta party.

In the event of cancellation or suspension of the race due to force majeure beyond the organizer’s control, the participation fee will not be refunded.

3.4 – Registration Procedure

Registration can be completed through the website www.gt3lavaredo.com by selecting “Online Registration,” which will automatically redirect participants to the online registration platform.

3.5 – K-Factor Registration

Teams affiliated with the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) must register their athletes through the federal online system using the race codes assigned by the Federation. The event can be found via the “Races” section by entering the relevant “Race ID” number. Failure to register through the federal system will result in exclusion from the event.

Teams affiliated with organizations belonging to the Consulta entities only need to follow the registration procedure described in Article 3.4.

Please note that participation is by invitation; therefore, failure to pay the registration fee will result in exclusion from the event.

3.6 – Participant Substitution

A participant may transfer their registration to another person only after completing and confirming their own registration. All relevant information must be communicated to gt3lavaredo@evodata.it.

A €10.00 administration fee will be charged for this service.

The deadline for substitutions is 31 May 2026.

3.7 – Cancellation of Participation

No refund will be provided by the Organizing Committee. However, participants may purchase an optional Evodata insurance policy covering justified non-participation.

3.8 – Verification and Complaints

The list of registered participants will be updated periodically on www.gt3lavaredo.com.

For verification requests or complaints, participants may contact gt3lavaredo@evodata.it.

3.9 – Course Change

Participants may change their selected route, subject to race number availability.

A €10.00 administration fee will be charged for this service.

The deadline for route changes is 31 May 2026.

3.10 – License Verification

Verification of licenses for competitive-category athletes is the responsibility of the Race Commissaires’ Panel.

Verification of licenses for amateur-category athletes is the responsibility of the Organizing Committee. Any special cases reported will be reviewed by the Race Commissaires’ Panel.

License verification will take place at the race headquarters located at:

Art.4 – RACE

4.1 – Course

LONG Course: 133 km with 3,170 m of elevation gain
MEDIUM Course: 105 km with 2,470 m of elevation gain

The MEDIUM Course is eligible for qualification to the UCI Gravel World Series for:

All women’s categories
Men aged 60 and over

For Men aged 19–59, the MEDIUM Course is not qualifying for the World Series.

4.2 – Starting Grids

The starting grids for the GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series will be assigned according to category.

Within each category, placement will be determined by the chronological order of registration.

Athletes starting from an incorrect grid will be disqualified.

4.3 – Feed Stations

Feed stations will be located along the course. Their number and exact locations will be published on the official event website: www.gt3lavaredo.com.

4.4 – Timing

Official timing services will be managed by EVODATA.

4.5 – Intermediate Checkpoints

Checkpoints will be positioned at the start, finish, and at various points along the course.

Failure to pass through even a single checkpoint will result in exclusion from the race classification.

4.6 – Time Limits and Cut-Off Points

The following cut-off points will apply on the UCI Gravel World Series courses:

12:00 PM – Passo Monte Croce Comelico
3:00 PM – Carbonin

Athletes who reach these designated points after the cut-off time will have their race number removed and must leave the race course.

The finish line will close at 5:30 PM.

For the Randonnée Course, there are no intermediate cut-off points, as it is a self-paced cycling journey.

However, the maximum completion time is set at 5:00 PM on Sunday, June 21.

4.7 – Mechanical Assistance

A mechanical assistance service will be available in the start/finish area.

Along the course, designated areas reserved for team feed zones and authorized technical assistance will be established. These areas will be clearly marked and numbered, closed to the public, and accessible only to accredited and authorized personnel.

4.8 – Authorized Technical Assistance

Authorized technical assistance during the race consists of the repair or replacement of any bicycle component except the frame.

Changing bicycles is strictly prohibited. Competitors must cross the finish line with the same race number plate assigned at the start.

Technical assistance may only be carried out within the designated assistance zones, which must include a service area located off the race course so as not to obstruct competitors. Tools, spare parts, and repair equipment must be placed within these designated zones.

Repairs and component replacements may be performed by:

The rider themselves,
A teammate,
A team mechanic, or
Neutral support personnel, if available.

In addition to assistance within the designated zones, technical assistance is permitted outside these areas only between riders belonging to the same team or national delegation.

Competitors may carry tools and spare parts, provided they do not pose a danger to themselves or to other participants.

Athlete feeding is permitted exclusively within the areas designated as feed/assistance zones.

4.9 – Race Jury

The Race Jury for the GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series will be announced in the coming months.v

Art.5 - RANKINGS AND AWARDS

5.1 – Eligibility for Classification

All riders, whether licensed competitors or amateur participants, who complete the entire course within the established time limits will be included in the official classifications, provided they:

Clearly display both their front and back race numbers; and
Correctly install and use the official timing chip.

Crossing the finish line without having properly completed the assigned race course will result in the infringement being reported to the Race Jury, which will take the appropriate disciplinary measures.

Any rider who fails to reach a designated time-control point within the prescribed cut-off time will be removed from the race. Their race number will be collected, and they must immediately leave the race course.

Riders withdrawn from the race under this rule will be listed in the official results according to the order in which they left the course.

5.2 – Individual Classifications

Individual classifications will be determined based on elapsed race time, not on the order of arrival at the finish line.

The official results will be published through the press and on the event website: www.gt3lavaredo.com.

5.3 – Awards Ceremony – GT3 LAVAREDO – 2026 UCI Gravel World Series

The top three finishers in each category (Men/Women) will receive:

The UCI Gravel World Series Leader’s Jersey;
A UCI Medal; and
Prizes in kind provided by the Organizing Committee.

5.4 – Awards Ceremony – Randonnée GT3 LAVAREDO

As this is a non-competitive cycling tourism event, no classifications or awards ceremonies will be held.

5.5 – Commemorative Medal

GT3 LAVAREDO has commissioned a commemorative medal for the event, which will be awarded to all participants immediately after they cross the finish line.

This special keepsake is intended to be treasured by all riders, both for its artistic value and for the symbolic significance it represents.

5.6 – Prize Collection

The Flower Ceremony and official awards presentations will take place in the finish area at the Bucintoro Area, on the shores of Lake Santa Caterina.

Prizes in kind will be distributed to eligible recipients at the Race Secretariat immediately following the awards ceremony, and in any case from 3:00 PM onwards.

No representatives or delegates will be permitted to collect prizes on behalf of winners, and requests for prizes to be shipped by mail will not be accepted.

Any prizes not collected will be donated to charity.

5.7 – Certificate of Participation

A personalized Certificate of Participation may be downloaded from the website of the official timing service provider.

The certificate will be available only to riders who have successfully completed the course and have been officially classified in the results.

Art.6 - SAFETY MEASURES

6.1 – General Rules

Slower riders are required to facilitate overtaking by faster competitors.

Sections with limited visibility must be ridden at an appropriate speed.

On descents, riders must never exceed their own technical ability and skill level.

Any mechanical failure must be repaired off the race course.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate disqualification.

6.2 – Bicycle Types

For the UCI Gravel World Series, participation is permitted with Gravel Bikes and Mountain Bikes (MTBs) that are suitable for the event and maintained in proper working condition.

For the GT3 LAVAREDO Randonnée, participation is open to all types of bicycles, including e-bikes, provided they are in proper working condition and adequately maintained.

6.3 – Helmet

The use of an approved cycling helmet is mandatory.

The helmet must be worn correctly and securely fastened at all times during the event.

6.4 – Medical Assistance

Medical support will include:

Ambulances staffed with doctors and nurses;
Fixed first-aid stations, including one permanent medical station in the finish area;
Mobile medical units operating by motorcycle with specialized personnel;
Fixed and mobile radio-emergency support stations.

6.5 – Sweep Service

Riders who withdraw from the event and are unable to return to the start area on their own will be assisted and transported to the finish area by official service vehicles, subject to operational and logistical availability.

6.6 – Insurance

The event is insured in accordance with the regulations of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI).

6.7 – Course Marking

The course will be partially marked from the month of May.

Certain sections are normally closed to the public and will be opened only for race day. Any necessary detours will be appropriately signposted.

Challenging sections such as technical and steep descents, sharp turns, feed stations, and other key points will be clearly marked with highly visible signs.

Distance markers will indicate the remaining kilometers to the finish.

At the beginning of the most significant climbs, signs will display the climb’s characteristics, including:

Elevation gain,
Average and/or maximum gradient,
Length of the climb.

The complete and final course marking will be installed starting from the Monday preceding the race.

6.8 – Cycling Event Signage

The event will be led by a motorcycle displaying the sign “Start of Cycling Race” and closed by a motorcycle displaying the sign “End of Cycling Race.”

The competition will take place partly on public roads and partly on private roads and trails.

All participants are therefore required to:

Observe the applicable traffic regulations;
Comply with all UCI and FCI rules and regulations;
Ride responsibly and safely at all times.

6.9 – Authorized Race Vehicles

Only officially accredited and clearly identified vehicles belonging to the event organizers and race officials are authorized to follow the race.

Private support vehicles are not permitted.

6.10 – Environmental Protection

Athlete feeding is permitted exclusively within the designated feed and assistance zones.

It is strictly forbidden to discard litter along the course. All waste must be disposed of in the bins provided after the feed stations.

Leaving the marked course is also prohibited.

Failure to comply with these environmental protection rules will result in immediate disqualification.

Art.7 - MISCELLANEOUS

7.1 – Waiver of Liability

A.S.D. Pedali di Marca disclaims all liability, on its own behalf and on behalf of its staff and collaborators, for any accidents, injuries, losses, or damage to persons or property that may occur before, during, or after the event, or as a consequence of participation in the event.

Participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk.

By registering for the event, each participant waives any right to bring legal action or claims, including against third parties, against the Organizing Committee and all natural or legal persons involved in organizing the event.

7.2 – Protests and Appeals

In accordance with the regulations of the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI), any protest must be submitted to the Race Jury in writing within 30 minutes after the end of the race, accompanied by a security deposit of €50.00.

If the protest is upheld, the deposit will be refunded.

7.3 – Event Photography

The Organizing Committee accepts no responsibility for the delivery or distribution of photographs by unauthorized photographers or operators.

7.4 – Lost and Found

Any items found in the start/finish area or along the race course must be delivered to the Race Secretariat Manager.

Such items will be retained by the Organizing Committee for subsequent return to their rightful owners.

7.5 – Changes and Force Majeure

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes to the regulations, course, and elevation profile at its sole discretion.

The event will take place regardless of weather conditions, and only the person responsible for the Organizing Committee has the authority to cancel the competition.

Any updates or changes will be published online, posted at the Race Office, and displayed on the official information board.

Should the event be cancelled due to force majeure or for any reason beyond the control of the Organizing Committee, the participation fee will not be refunded and will not be credited toward a future edition of the event.

7.6 – Acceptance of the Regulations

By signing and submitting the registration form, participants declare that they:

Hold a valid cycling license where required;
Have read and accepted these regulations in full; and
Consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

The same conditions apply to registrations submitted individually by paper form, online registration, letter, or fax.

7.7 – Privacy Policy (Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003)

In full compliance with the provisions of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 regarding the protection of personal data, the information collected during registration will be used exclusively for the administrative management of the event and for communications, proposals, and information related to the activities of A.S.D. Pedali di Marca.
